 Hi there! I'm Star, the heart and soul behind BlakRose Artistry, based in Hattiesburg, MS, with our sights set on expanding to Virginia Beach, VA. New Orleans native with deep Mississippi roots, my journey took a pivotal turn post-Hurricane Katrina, leading me to MS. My venture into the tattoo world began 14 years ago, starting as a receptionist and eventually blossoming into a shop owner, tattoo artist, and mentor to talented individuals.

My path has been anything but ordinary. An opportunity to live in Germany for a year presented itself, prompting me to pause my business and immerse myself in a new culture. This stint abroad, coupled with my service in the US ARMY and time as a civilian contractor, not only broadened my horizons but also introduced my art to an international audience—an experience that remains a career highlight.

Helping others thrive brings me immense joy. I've always been keen on offering support where I can, especially if it aligns with my journey. Collaborating and co-creating greatness with others is something I deeply cherish.

As a traveling tattoo artist, my craft has taken me to clients across Georgia, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Virginia, and Mannheim, marking a decade in tattooing. Additionally, I've ventured into the Permanent Makeup (PMU) industry as a brow artist for the past five years, specializing in nano brow hair strokes and ombré brow shading, backed by extensive training and certifications.
