Hi there! I'm Star, the heart and soul behind BlakRose Artistry, based in Hattiesburg, MS, recently expanded to Virginia Beach, VA. I'm a New Orleans native with deep Mississippi roots, my journey took a pivotal turn post-Hurricane Katrina, leading me to MS. My venture into the tattoo world began 15 years ago, starting as a receptionist and eventually blossoming into a shop owner, tattoo artist, and mentor to talented individuals.

My path has been anything but ordinary. An opportunity to live in Germany for a year presented itself, prompting me to pause my business and immerse myself in a new culture. This stint abroad, coupled with my service in the US ARMY and time as a civilian contractor, not only broadened my horizons but also introduced my art to an international audience—an experience that remains a career highlight.

Helping others thrive brings me immense joy. I've always been keen on offering support where I can, especially if it aligns with my journey. Collaborating and co-creating greatness with others is something I deeply cherish.

As a traveling tattoo artist, my craft has taken me to clients across Georgia, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Virginia, and Mannheim, Germany marking a decade in tattooing. Additionally, I've ventured into the Permanent Makeup (PMU) industry as a brow artist for the past five years, specializing in nano brow hair strokes and ombré brow shading, backed by extensive training and certifications.
